Make Your Own Letterheads

in Company

Starting a new company equates to inevitable birth pains. On the get go, it is inevitable to experience delays and setbacks. If you are strategic and focused however, all these can be put to a minimum. One of the first steps you need to make when starting a business or company is defining your brand and creating your vision - a guide on how your business or company is going to be in the long run. In establishing your brand, you need to set objectives, identify the impression you want to leave to your clients and customers, and be able to create your business representations. As you know, having your company logo and slogan is necessary. Your company logo and slogan makes it possible for your brand to be accomplished and at the same time for your corporate presence be felt.

Your company logo and slogan should extend to your presentation tools and marketing materials. Do no forget to include not just your contact information, but also your company logo and slogan during production. Your presentation tools and marketing materials can include your business cards, pocket folders, presentation folders, memo pads, and notepads, among others.  Every material you produce for distribution among your target demographic - your target and existing clients and customers and potential business partners and associates – should bear your company or business logo. If you are just starting out in the industry, you need to be represented well by your materials and tools to encourage brand recall and establish business presence.

When getting and keeping in touch with your professional contacts, you will need letterheads and mailing envelopes. These letterheads are a representation of your business or company. Any organization or corporation has letterheads that make the correspondence look or appear professional. Even if you are just starting out, trying to make a foothold in the industry, you should already make your letters, memos, and other forms of correspondences legitimate and one way to do that is through the use of letterheads.

Making letterheads can be easy. If you are adept in using publications software, such as Microsoft Publisher, the design process can turn out to be manageable for you. What you need, at first, is to define how your letterheads would appear. Do you want to leave an impression that your company or business is professional, trustworthy and reputable? Or do you want be perceived as hip, young, and dynamic?

On the other hand, if you are hesitant to make use of your own design and creative skills, you can always get professional services. There are graphic designers that can offer you their services. The advantage of this is that you can be provided with custom-made design which can make your letterheads stand out from the rest. Yes, there are design templates available all over the internet, but you do not want to short shrift yourself in terms of creativity.

Talk to your graphic designer and provide your creative inputs. You may have some great ideas in mind that can be incorporated. Once your graphic designer has provided you with the working template, offer suggestions on how the over-all look can be improved. Before you produce a number of letterheads though, print the design as sample. Check the print if you need to make further revisions. You may have to edit the bordering, text, or image you used which are all critical.
